We provide Savile Row Quality bespoke & semi-bespoke handmade male & female suits, shirts and ties for Savile Row and other made to measure suit companies. Our work is to Savile Row standards, with floating canvas, hand felled front linings, hand holes and horn buttons.

As you are probably aware, bespoke tailoring in the UK is threatened by a lack of young tailors entering the profession. In March 2006, the City of Westminster reported that currently in the West End of London, 82% of the bespoke tailoring companies use external suppliers or tailors. The other 18% undertake the production from start to finish by themselves, but they are usually self-employed or family based with low output.

Camellia Universal Limited is involved in a project, in conjunction with the oldest Savile Row company, Davies & Son (Est.1803) , to source bespoke & semi-bespoke male and female suits from a highly respected tailoring house in China. Our Master Tailor has been working with a leading Savile Row company for over 8 years. We have more than 40 skilled tailors in our workshops who are regularly trained by Savile Row tailors.The last training was in October 2006. The next trip of Savile Row tailors to update and retrain our tailors again in China is February 2007.

The prices are competitive and the delivery time for a 3-piece of suit is within 3 weeks straight to finish. However, extra time must be allowed for fittings.

We also offer hand made shirts with fittings or straight to finish, overcoat, hand made silk ties and cufflinks.

Currently, we are working together with 3 Savile Row tailoring companies, 1 tailoring company in Yorkshire, 2 in London and 1 tailoring company in Bedfordshire.

Mr Alan Bennett, Managing Director of Davies & Son, has been in tailoring for over 40 years as a coatmaker and cutter. He and other Savile Row tailors have been advising the Chinese bespoke tailors on tailoring techniques and cutting the English styles, for over 12 months now and will be regularly making trips with other Savile Row tailors to update and retrain our tailors in China.
