Carbon Connections, based at the University of East Anglia, seeks to develop and nurture partnerships involving at least one HEI and one non-HEI organisation.
At the heart of Carbon Connections, which was launched in October 2006 to support organisations with innovative projects for carbon reduction, is the concept of utilising university expertise to develop, evaluate and refine innovative ideas which reduce our carbon footprint. This knowledge transfer opportunity has been made possible thanks to a major grant award from the Higher Education Funding Council and is open for applications.
From the beginning of October 2007, every university and Higher Education Institute in the country is eligible to form a partnership and apply for funding from Carbon Connections. We have over £1 million pounds still available in chunks of up to £200,000 and all applications need to be made by December 14th 2007.
