Description The Animation and Sound Research Group focuses on practical and theoretical aspects of animation and sound in both art and design contexts, and aims to promote interaction between experimental, independent and commercial production and exhibition. Relationships between animation and sound in traditional and emerging contexts form the basis of the groups activity, concentrating on creativity, animation presentation, sound art and design including peformance, circuit bending, animation education and the regional economic infrastructure for the animation industry being addressed by individuals within the group. Individuals are involved in projects at national and international levels, which involve the creation, curation and exhibition of short films, soundtracks, audio-visual installations, performances, interactive media and texts. The group contributes to the activity of the Norwich International Animation Festival and supports a number of collaborative projects with other universities and businesses
