The University of Bedfordshire's PACE project has achieved its target number of delegates for its first run.
This ESF funded project, which is aimed at artistic and creative entrepreneurs has drawn in delegates with a wide range of creative interests including magazine production, graphic design, garden design and fine art. The course has even attracted a BBC radio presenter!
Adrienne Montes, an aspiring festival organiser says of the opportunity, 'Having completed a degree elsewhere, I've found that there is a real skills gap between theory and practical workable ideas. I'm really excited to be on the PACE project because it will allow me to turn my business concept, involving youth expressing culture through the arts, into reality and increase my chances of success.'
This project starts again in February 2007, for more information contact Sarah Waller on 01582 743045 or by email sarah.waller@beds.ac.uk
