The Boxtree is a new eating, drinking and live music experience for Cambridge. With imput from creative agency, The District, that place that has always been there wearing different hats, has been reborn and is well worth a visit. Let's just say it is now donning a rather dashing trilby.

The Boxtree approached The District with an objective to change the tone of the venue: what it was saying, wanting to appeal to new audiences. 

The District addressed this brief by creating more of a hype surrounding the venue. The District wanted to achieve a recognition throughout the new brand for The Boxtree. 

Using simple aesthetics, and introducing a stronger identity, striping The Boxtree back down to its core ethos of a great atmosphere, great events and great food & drinks. 

The Boxtree brand, design output, menus and interior have been approached in a holistic way. Wanting to add texture and interest to the venue itself, elements of the new brand are carried through to the interior space. Use of simple, traditional sign writing allows the cleaness of the new aesthetic to communicate the new identity for The Boxtree.
