Design Technology International Ltd have taken an equity share in Spacemaker Bins to develop an innovative garbage compaction device for the home.
Working with inventor Mark Jardine, founder of Spacemaker Bins Ltd., DTI Ltd developed the patented compaction technology that will revolutionise the management and disposal of waste in the home.

John Hawker MD of DTI Limited travelled to Hong Kong and China in 2006 to establish a manufacturing supply chain in the Far East. A partnership agreement has been formalised with a Hong Kong company to bring the product to market in 2007.
Commenting on the equity share agreement, John Hawker stated that the agreement had allowed Spacemaker Bins to work with DTI Ltd to develop the product without incurring the high development costs associated with new product development. Spacemaker were able to offset up-front development costs against equity and DTI Ltd will benefit from the on-going revenue stream when the technology enters the market in 2007.
