aIDEAS Ltd. (all Inclusive Design Enabling Access Solutions) is an assistive-technology, project-based ideas-house which combines inclusive innovation with inspiring form to provide new, holistic design solutions for the 21st century multi-age, multi-needs market.
Universal design enables barrier-free products, services and environments to be used by a broad spectrum of the public regardless of age, ability or situation. The initial projects, WORDB (Website and Online Resources Data Base) and PVAW (Personal Visual Adaptation of WWW) Web Browser Plug-in mark the successful launch of aIDEAS. Currently aIDEAS Ltd is developing 20+ in-house product demonstrations & consultancy projects, including fashionable asthma inhalers and mobile communications.
Founder and senior partner, Dr Martin Sabry is an advanced technology IT & Media developer with a 15 year track record in established world premier research and product development companies. Martin leads a multidisciplinary, matrix-based team at the forefront of business development of advanced technology inclusive design solutions. Projects are driven forward by a team of aIDEAS Ltd Contributors who all are independent professionals with established professional track records. Contributors are engaged on a per project basis or in central functional roles. Currently 7 contributors and a number of agents are actively contributing to aIDEAS.
Using demonstrators as a showcase, aIDEAS designs cost-effective adaptation solutions to existing products and services as well as creating new, inclusive, design solutions. Broadening product usability by as little as 10% could open combined market opportunities of more than Euro 400 billion in Western Europe and £ 50 billion in the UK (2006 estimate). aIDEAS Ltd responds with innovative product solutions which enhance the design and usability of product goods and services, and tap into new demographics and other market opportunities.
For Martin Sabry, a T6 paraplegic fulltime wheelchair dependent, aIDEAS represents a personal vision of dynamic, customer-focused, inclusive design product and service enhancing solutions. aIDEAS was founded and inspired through his personal wheelchair experience, enforced lifestyle choices and a passion for boundary-less inclusion and product solutions development.
