An afternoon event exploring ways in which the construction and building industries in the East of England can improve innovation by linking with the universities in the region.

The event will feature displays, talks and discussions about how to increase innovation, research and knowledge transfer.

The speakers at the event are:

  • Sir David Trippier - Chairman of Cambridgeshire Horizons
  • Stephen Castle - Essex County Council Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Regeneration and the 2012 Olympic Games, and EEDA board member
  • Dr Paul Smith - Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, Anglia Ruskin University
  • John Synnuck - Chief Executive, Swan Housing Association
  • Anthony Wright MP - Member of Business and Enterprise Committee for Construction Matters
  • Chaired by Dr Saul Humphrey - Chairman of CIC-East and i10 Collaborative Working Group
