Catherine is business development manager for Cambridgeshire and though her small office is in Anglia Ruskin University, she does represent ‘the other place’ too. Catherine comes from a solid marketing background having previously worked in the pottery industry in Derbyshire. After holding two marketing positions, she became International Business Manager dealing with export orders in the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. She also did a lot of business in Iceland where, she says, contemporary designs were particularly welcome.

How does she see her current role? “I really enjoy going out to small and medium-sized businesses and explaining to them the many opportunities there are for working with the excellent universities in our region.”
