St John’s Innovation Centre. This facility opened in 1987, offering office and workshop accommodation and business support for early stage knowledge based companies. Centre tenants are start-up firms operating in a wide range of leading-edge technologies.

The centre
• Provides free advice to tenant businesses, through an experienced team.
• Supports tenants and non tenants by engaging in local programmes with university departments and government bodies to help promote the creation of wealth.
• Helps entrepreneurs access funding through Business Angel Networks and venture funds.
• Acts as a catalyst in promoting technology locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
